Partly sunny and warm to hot conditions dominated most areas during afternoon but it was
generally cool to cold overnight and during morning.

SOUTHERN AFRICA REGIONAL WEATHER ANALYSIS

Expect warm easterly air mass over Malawi into Friday giving way to cool and moist south easterly
air mass over the weekend.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR MALAWI

Expect warm to hot, partly sunny and hazy weather conditions over most areas up to Friday
thereafter windy and partly cloudy with a chance of rain showers particularly over highlands.


Shire Valley

(Areas along Shire river, Lakes Chilwa and Chiuta Valleys)

Mostly sunny and hot to very hot during the forecast period.

Forecast Temperature: Ngabu Min 20 °C and Max 37 °C


Southern Highlands

(Shire highlands, Kirk Range up to Dedza)

Warm to hot and sunny over most areas into Friday thereafter expect windy and partly cloudy
conditions with a chance of rain showers until the end of forecast period.

Forecast Temperature: Blantyre Min 15°C and Max 32°C


Lakeshore Areas

(Areas along Lake Malawi; Salima, Nkhotakota, Nkhata Bay, Karonga, Mangochi )

Mostly sunny, hot and hazy until Friday while windy and partly cloudy with rain showers over few
areas during the weekend.

Forecast Temperature: Mangochi Min 21 °C and Max 34°C


Central Areas

(Lilongwe, Mchinji, Dowa, Ntchisi, Kasungu and part of Mzimba District)

Expect mainly sunny conditions until Friday thereafter increase in cloudiness and windy with few
showers to the end of forecast period.

Forecast Temperature: Lilongwe Min 14°C and Max 31°C


Northern Areas

(All areas north except Lakeshore)

Warm weather conditions over most areas but locally cold to cool at night and during morning.
Expect windy conditions with few showers over the weekend.
